Sound Psychology is the private practice of Dr. David Knopes, licensed clinical psychologist. The following pages contain information to help you and your family make the best choices for your mental health and assessment needs.

Dr. Knopes specializes in the evaluation and treatment of adolescents and adults with neuropsychological, emotional and behavioral problems. Evaluation and treatment services are comprehensive, practical and tailored to meet the needs of each client. Evaluations commonly include assessment of cognitive, academic, memory, attention, behavioral and/or emotional functioning.

In the Assessment Services section, information is provided on the nature of neuropsychological and cognitive assessment, and common issues in age-related changes and acquired brain injury. Special focus is given to the areas of attention deficit disorder (ADD/ADHD), learning disabilities, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and dementia. Useful links to local and national resources are also provided.

In the Therapy and Psychoeducation section, information is provided on therapy philosophy and areas of treatment specialization. All interventions and treatment plans are individualized based on each person's specific needs, concerns, and presenting problems.
